Tickled Purple

I was predicting a pastel lavender for the color of the year but I was just as tickled Purple or as Pantone say’s Very Peri when they announced their color of the year for 2022 to be a gorgeous shade of purple-blue I’ve ever seen.

If you have followed me for any length of time you know my favorite color is purple and almost every tone is appealing to me.

Very Peri’s blue with undertones of of violet-red is a color my artist mother loved to see me in growing up, its a color of a t-shirt I just ordered before I decided to journal about it.

I remember years ago wearing head to toe purple walking through the Renaissance Fair I approached a booth being ran by a couple. I was like don’t touch my purple when they told me I was allergic to the color and that they could clear me of the addiction but since its in my everyday environment it wouldn’t hold. They were going back and forth between the two of them like I wasn’t standing there saying the high vibration of the color that was to powerful for most people.

The incident has always been tucked way in my brain. So when I read what Pantone has to say about their Very Peri being a “spritely joyous attitude, and dynamic presence and encourages courageous and imaginative expression I am 100% certain this periwinkle is “my color” allergic or not.

Every year when choosing flowers to grow for the season its very challenging for me not to order only purple but I do refrain, “mostly.” I mean just look around here at my website. In the beginning I entrained the notion of having a all purple flower farm.

Here is a couple recent farm journal entries you can see there isn’t a summer or day that goes by that I’m not surrounded with as much as I can get away with.
