WRITTEN BY MISTY VANDERWEELE This spring has us all reminded we live in Alaska. I remember springs just like this about 20 years ago when I was a young bride wanting to grow flowers in my yard. I had planted them out to early and almost lost them all. Don’t worry I haven’t don’t that with our 4500 flower babies but I sure am getting tired of having to cover them in our pop up green houses with a heater running all night. -Definitely not the glamorous side of flower farming. Sweetpea’s, Sunflowers and Dahlia’s
Sweepeas for my grandma Mary. Sunflowers for my granny. And if you know my story Dahlia’s for my son. One of the business decisions I made after starting this flower season is I’m going to supplement my Dahlia’s with flower favorites of my loved ones that are no longer here. So far it’s been a GREAT choice for All Dahlia’d Up and our customers. We’ve had our first wedding with Sunflower and Dahlia bouquets and at Monday Market everyone is saying how much they LOVE sweetpeas!
