Cupcakes of Marigolds

If you read our fall update I know I said I’d be posting about pumpkins next. Well I can across some photographs of flowers that changed my mind. LOL.

Since I’m trying to eek out every last drop of fall that I can I was looking through my photos on my phone when I came across the Coco giant marigolds yesterday I had to share them.

My orginal goal growing them was to have a day of the dead photo shoot with my dauther, howerver the weather and my insane schedual had different plans.

Nonethe less a wonderful crop of Marigolds this year. Alaska’s cool weather and long daylight is ideal for growning them. Their smell made my mouth water.

They are marvelous frosted as well. I could take a bite!

Growing tip: To get them tall and branching more be sure to pinch out the first bud when it appears.

We will be growing them this next year for sure.
