Season 2021 had many ups and downs but we had our best season yet and I couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who helped make it so. One of the most rewarding elements of doing what I do is working with so many uber talented people each season to bring the message of flowers to a greater number of people by offering several on-farm events and tours. Day of Flowers & On Farm Dinner Virtual Mini Tours
Up first…The Day of Flowers was incredible. This event was six hours of flowers. The main goal was to share and show how flowers can be way more than simply something beautiful to look at. That they really are food for the soul. Upon arrival to the very end halos were made, arrangements to take home, flower mandalas, even the food that was eaten followed by a flower imprinting workshop ending with a flower offering to the sky. All delightfully wonderful if not magical. An evening where true dreams of mine were had. From the harvest tables, the chef and even live music. All three a firsts for our little flower farm. Up…

Queen of Flower Production
I was taken aback a little but I was also filled with pride when Amy Petit, from Alaska Farm Land Trust, called me one of the “Queens of Flower Production” during my recent interview with her on Ag Matters Radio I find it a great honor to be the ambassador for flowers, to represent them like I get to do. Farming and sharing them is my total dream business. Like I said in the interview, flowers have made a huge significant impact on me. It’s one of the reasons I have all the events here on the farm.
