    From an Alaska Glacier to Our Flower Farm

    From our very first Dinner Tour we held here on the farm in 2016 I had dreamt of having chef “Delicious Dave” dish out his magic with Alaska Grown food from my families farms, Vanderweele Farm & Glacier Valley Farm. Which last year my dream came true.     Tickled Purple

    I was predicting a pastel lavender for the color of the year but I was just as tickled Purple or as Pantone say's Very Peri when they announced their color of the year for 2022 to be a gorgeous shade of purple-blue I've ever seen.

    I believe reviewing our flower farm from top to bottom yearly has been a crucial aspect to our success. Although its easy to get bogged down with what didn’t work. Like the fact, due to the weather we never reached full bloom or employee challenges and other personal stresses. I like to celebrate what did work. And boy what a hard, cold, dream come true season 2021 was. We shared floral wellness in a bigger way, from our daily farm tasks, daily personal goals, to our events.
