Alaska Flower Farm 2025 Book Signing Party & Dinner Tours

This year we started with two back to back events in August. The Flower Farmers book signing party with our annual August farm dinner tour following right after.

It was a big successful dream of a day. Our winning photographer Kim Landry of Kim & Photo Co. captured them both with summer dreamy wonder and a whole lot of feeling.

The book signing photos were incredible, but when I first opened the gallery of gorgeous  photographs of the dinner, my breath caught.

For the first time I felt like my flower farm had grown up. The polished, smoothness of Kim’s talented captures resonated right out from my computer screen. Showcasing the realness of the experience of what we aim to accomplish with all we do here on the farm.

All these years of hosting our lovely events with an A-team staff makes me so proud. The dinners layered with Tucker Tunes for the music, a hostess, a bartender and flower stand manager for the day. Rounded out with professional photography. A winning recipe for sharing the beauty of flowers, the farm & Alaska Grown.

Many guests rise to the occasion dressing up in florals and summer hats. Such a delight to see.

The dinners begin at the flower stand, onto a stroll through our famous sweet pea tunnel to the wine-bar. Then a walking tour of all our gardens and growing spaces beginning with the ringing of the singing bowl.

Followed by a hands-on-centerpiece flower workshop. The flowers -always the highlight.

But before we place the flowers at the harvest table a group shot is a must.

However for me my favorite time is right after all the centerpieces are set and the attendees step away from the table for that iconic table-scape shot. The beauty created imprints on my heart every single time.

August Dinner Tour with Sweetpea Tunnel

The September dinner tour is the last to fill up but has been said by attendees that have attended the August Dinner as being their “favorite” of the two.

I think it’s because the hubbub of the Alaska State Fair is over, the kids are back to school, the change of the season is upon us. True sweater weather, trees sprinkled with golden leaves, cooler temps proving Alaska really does have a Fall.

Another reason September is the one to attend: the dahlia flower is considered the “Queen” of Autumn. She keeps on blooming until a killing frost. As the temperature cools her petals seem to deepen, almost not looking real.

The contrast of vibrant blooms, the green grass, the turning of the leaves against the snowcapped mountains and sky is a site to experience.

Then combined the flower centerpiece workshop with harvest table and food for a complete package.

The Alaska Grown “fall” meal, a comfort of warm savory flavorings artfully cheffed to round out the feel of autumn -a perfect way to spend a chilly evening on the farm.

Seeing the flower arrangements glow with each person’s personality exuding pure flower power magic. A space of beauty captured in time. Created together to set the stage for an Alaska Grown feast, masterfully cheffed.

It’s also not uncommon to see a few more extra tufts mixed with floral print rain coats and layering of more color. This gal stole the show.

One summer, two 5 star farm-to-table flower extravaganzas. Where flower power & gathering together takes center stage.
