    Living as vibrant as possible

    Here in Alaska with no real hope of planting Dahlias in the ground until after Mother’s Day I start my seasoned tubers in the greenhouse and new stock, well in my living room. I also take advantage before planting in May to do lots of planning for the season, which includes lots of yard prep and tucking future flower farm ideas in the folder for if not this year, then “next” year.     Dahlia Season 2014 a Success

    Season 2014 was the test to see if my dream of having my own small Dahlia flower farm was sustainable. And it was… to my surprise not only sustainable but  a big hit. My Dahlia’s graced the Red Beet Bistro, Turkey Red, numerous friends and family and even a  wedding!
