Expanding my floral knowledge
This summit was one for the books. I had so much fun. My first summit was back in 2017 which was the very first annual slow flowers summit that was offered. I knew then it wouldn’t be my last. I try to go every year for the shear fact I believe in expanding my floral knowledge as well as I love being inspired and seeking that one “ah ha” that will take me further. Giving me a piece or pieces of information to better myself as a human, as a farmer, as a floral designer. What we do in the winter on the farm?
It’s not all seed catalogs and long naps by the fire. Yes, there’s a ton of dreaming, but for me its also a time to reflect on what worked and what didn’t to create a better plan for the following year. I look at all our sales channels and figure out ways to improve customer experience in each of those areas. From the summer Flower Shop to our Food & Flower Tours.
