I was predicting a pastel lavender for the color of the year but I was just as tickled Purple or as Pantone say's Very Peri when they announced their color of the year for 2022 to be a gorgeous shade of purple-blue I've ever seen.

I believe reviewing our flower farm from top to bottom yearly has been a crucial aspect to our success. Although its easy to get bogged down with what didn’t work. Like the fact, due to the weather we never reached full bloom or employee challenges and other personal stresses. I like to celebrate what did work. And boy what a hard, cold, dream come true season 2021 was. We shared floral wellness a bigger way, from our daily farm tasks, daily personal goals, to our events. Up first…The Day of Flowers was incredible. This event was six hours of flowers. The main goal was to share and show how flowers can be way more than simply something beautiful to look at. That they really are food for the soul. Upon arrival to the very end halos were made, arrangements to take home, flower mandalas, even the food that was eaten followed by a flower imprinting workshop ending with a flower offering to the sky. All delightfully wonderful if not magical. An evening where true dreams of mine were had. From the harvest tables, the chef and even live music. All three a firsts for our little flower farm. Up…
