Luke’s Light and A Dream
“A landscape so beautiful and wild, Yet not like the days gone by.”
~Luke Delia, 1991-2012
It is extremely a heart-felt honor to be able to fulfill Luke’s dream of writing a book with me, his mom. I feel so deeply blessed to have had the time I had with him. The morning he passed, not only was a vast raw hole in my being left, I cried and cried that we weren’t going to be able to write a book together.
Luke’ Light however will show how wrong I was. Further Luke’s Light gives his poetry a home for all to come visit.
Luke’s Light: Vision of Hope, includes a personally written biography by Luke Delia himself and show cases his incredible poetry. We had his poem “This Place” etched into Luke’s headstone at his resting place. See Below.

This Place
There's a place on the farm
to get away from it all
This place has a certain charm
Open and free with no walls
Green rows that go on for miles
Topped with white flowers so high
A landscape so beautiful and wild
Yet not like the days gone by
Surrounding the field of green and white
A dirt road weaves and winds
Standing tall the fireweed is such a sight
A more perfect place is hard to find
The irrigation sprinklers spray the mist
The heat of the day shines down from above
The water beads on leaves its kissed
And moistens the ground that was tilted with love
Such a sunny day with white puffy clouds
A slight breeze sings through the leaves
Of trees that stand so tall and proud
And still such more to see
With Pioneer Peak rising to the sky
What an incredible and glorious day
And eagle soars on wings so high
This place just takes your breath away
